Traditional CO2 lasers create thermal (heat) injury to the entire surface of an area of the skin and healing can be prolonged.

However, “Fractional” laser resurfacing technology produces very fine laser beams of heat directly to the specific area on the skin, leaving much of the surrounding skin surface unmarred. This also allows the healthy skin to produce new collagen and other skin elements, and healing is much quicker. Depending on how much energy is applied, plus the reaction of the skin of each individual, we find, in most cases the healing time to be from 6-7 days….sometimes even less.

To receive optimal results may require more than one treatment.

Using a topical anesthetic cream, and our cold-air chiller, most patients find minimal discomfort. Like all procedures, realistic expectations of improvement are important.
